The Bizarre Flecks Prologue is the first part of the Bizarre Flecks Saga. A cutscene, it introduces new characters that will prove central to the first half of the questchain.
Summary[]
An analogue of Ryuusei Cartwright, Ryuusei and his son, Gaiden questions their search for his dark analog, as they walk in an alternate Lore's Darkovia Forest. His father, unable to hide the truth much longer, reveals that he is no his biological father—his dark analog is. However, Gaiden cares little, since Ryuusei will always be his "Dad".
However, they are promply interrupted by Xitra Regeirk, who speaks about the Flecks and who intends to capture the trespassing Cartwrights. Ryuusei will have none of it and conjures his Mirror of the Wyk, just as Galanoth appears to fight the evil necromancer... only for Regeirk to capture Gaiden with his necromancy. Though Ryuusei wants to rescue his son, Galanoth tells him to look for help while he keeps Regeirk at bay. As he vows to save Gaiden, Ryuusei enters the mirror, and finds his way to another Lore...

«Scene: Darkovia Forest.»
???: Father, we have been searching from reality to reality. Is it really THAT important we find the one your dark analog has gone to?
Ryuusei: Gaiden, you did not encounter him nearly as much as I did. Until I have learned for sure if he is alive or dead I cannot rest. None of us are safe until we know for sure...
Gaiden Cartwright: Well this is clearly not the version of Lore where he has gone. Everything is dark and twisted. And I hope he is dead after what he did.
Gaiden Cartwright: He is nothing like you. He betrayed The'Galin for his own ambition.
Ryuusei: Gaiden.... I... I...
Gaiden Cartwright: Father? What is it....
Ryuusei: There is something Lisa and I have hidden from you... from everyone....
Gaiden Cartwright: Father?
The scene zooms into Gaiden and Ryuusei
Ryuusei: Gaiden, I am not your father. My analog is. The story of how your mother and I met all of that are true, but she was already... she had already met my alternate.
Gaiden Cartwright: You have the same genetics, right? Just from a parallel reality?
Ryuusei: Yes.
Gaiden Cartwright: And which of you raised me?
Ryuusei: You know it was I.
Gaiden Cartwright: Then I do not care about temporal technicalities, Dad. You are my father and always will be.
The scene zooms back out
Ryuusei: Good show, son. No, the seekers do not come from this Lore. My evil analog was unknown here. Come Gaiden, let us leave before we draw unwanted attention.
Gaiden Cartwright: I cannot help but be concerned for the people of this version of Lore. Galanoth cannot stave off the necromancer Regeirk's attacks forever. Can we do nothing for them?
Ryuusei: We can come back to this Lore to aid them once I am certain about my alternate. Too much is at stake.
Xitra Regeirk enters.
Xitra Regeirk: Gaiden and Ryuusei Cartwright, you are going nowhere.
Xitra Regeirk: The meteor will soon arrive and the broken pieces shall control your mind and thoughts even more effectively than a sweaty peel.
Xitra Regeirk: They shall empower you and twist your mind and soul beyond all recognition... You cannot resist the Bizarre Flecks.
Ryuusei: A grandiose speech Xitra Regeirk, but I think not. Come along, Gaiden.
Ryuusei raises his staff a little and the Mirror of the Wyk appears. Someone in Dracomancer Armor enters but stops behind the mirror.
Galanoth: Xitra Regeirk, your horrid crimes will not go unpunished. Your destruction of the Guardian Tower has cost hundreds of lives.
Xitra Regeirk: Lives that have enriched my armies. Just as you and these offworlders shall do, Dracomancer. Take the boy.
Skeletal hands rise from the ground and drag Gaiden into the earth.
Ryuusei: Gaiden! What have you done with my son, you monster?!
Galanoth: Ryuusei-- He is too strong. I will stop the monster Regeirk. Quickly find aid.... My dragon friends come to me.
Ryuusei: I will save you Gaiden-- I promise you!
Ryuusei disappears into the Mirror.
