The Chosen is the term used to refer to the player's character, AdventureQuest’s protagonist who, during the events of the game, becomes the Avatar of Hope (The Final Battle!).
Selected by Lorithia herself (Absol-ution IV), the Chosen is an Adventurer—or Guardian, in case the player has upgraded his or her account—tasked with the protection of Lore and its inhabitants (Frostval 2013: Do Moglin Dream of Electric Doom Sheep?, Past Unraveled III).
Fred the Burro is tasked with faithfully carrying all of the Chosen's equipment, such as weapons and armors, besides a dozens of potions and other trinkets, at all times. The Chosen, who is not his first owner, sometimes does not appreciate all of the burro's hard work (Fred on Strike!).
