The Fire Orb is the twenty-seventh quest in the Devourer Saga and the second of the Elemental Orb quests. Level 41 is required to access it.

Mercuria: I knew I'd find you here. Warlic sent out word about your quest for the elemental orbs.
«You»: Good! I need all the help I can get
Finding the prime Fire Orb is a hard task-- not just because it doesn't exist.
«You»: ???
Mercuria: The original Fire Orb left behind by the Fire Lord eons ago was destroyed when Akriloth was defeated. Then its pieces were collected by the fire mage Drakonnan.
Mercuria: As you probably know, Drakonnan lost in his attempt to take over the world. The pieces of the Fire Orb were left, spread around this area we call Smoke Mountain and its Fire Fields.
«You»: If we collect the pieces, what will happen? Will it be enough?
Mercuria: Only four fragments remain. Get them all, put them in one place, and they should re-form into the original Fire Orb.
Mercuria: Each fragment has been claimed by something or someone here, so you will have to fight them for it. My own powers are of the fire realm, so I am in no use for you here.
Mercuria: However, Lady Tomo from Isle d'Oriens sent with me some of her special Ice Cats, which you can take with if you like.
